NVIDIA Stock Predictions

Summary

  • Nvidia Logo - Labeled for ReuseRemix OS is the custom version of the Android OS that is optimized for laptops and desktop computers.
  • Nvidia’s Tegra SoCs, not Intel’s x86 processors, are the most powerful processors to run Android OS.
  • It makes sense therefore that discerning people will prioritize buying top-of-the-line Remix OS computer that runs on the best CPU/GPU.
  • Nvidia already quit the smartphone business.

Nvidia, therefore, needs Android laptops/desktop computers to become more popular so it can sell more Tegra chips.

Nvidia (NVDA) investors should take note that Claudio Rizzini has a very interesting premise that JIDE’s Remix OS could help increase business adoption of Android OS computers. Remix OS is a custom version of Android that is specifically optimized to work with the keyboard/mouse productivity flow of laptops and notebook computers.

The version 2.0 of Remix OS is now being given away for free by JIDE. It might usher in more interest from users and OEMs to really make the Android PC concept more popular. As the firm with the most powerful ARM-based processor for Android OS devices, Nvidia could benefit a lot if Android-powered laptops become as popular as Chromebooks.

I believe that business users and games-focused consumers will still prefer a glitch-free ARM-based Android OS computer. If Chromebooks could achieve annual sales of 7 million units just to students/schools, a Nvidia-powered Android-powered could achieve more sales just focusing on corporate clients and gamers that want to rely less on Macs and Windows PCs.

The developers of Remix OS made it look like nearly similar to Windows 10.

However, Remix OS, in spite of the User Interface and User Experience revisions of JIDE, is still Android. Let us not forget that Google (GOOG) coded Android OS to run best on ARM-based processors on touchscreen-enabled mobile devices. The optimized productivity PC-like experience of Remix OS will still run best on Nvidia’s Tegra chips, not on x86 processors of Intel (INTC) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

The future economic benefit of supplying 5-10 million Tegra chips for business/gaming-centric Android PC will help Nvidia reduce its reliance on discrete GPU sales. Due to the proliferation of dirt-cheap ARM-based processors from Qualcomm (QCOM) and MediaTek, Nvidia already quit the market for smartphone chips. The next viable market for Tegra chips could be Android-powered laptops and desktop PCs.

If we estimate that a Tegra K1 chip could be sold for $50 each to Android PC manufacturers, 10 million Android PC products could give Nvidia and extra $500 million of extra annual non-GPU sales.

Remix OS is What the Android PC Should Be

Chrome OS computers are enjoying wide acceptance in the education market. However, the business sector is not warming up to it until now. Google’s continuing inability to give its Chrome OS more enterprise-friendly apps is likely why business clients remain aloof.

Consequently, the low interest from corporate PC buyers for Chrome OS computers is likely why Google wants to release a Nvidia Tegra K1-powered Pixel C Android laptop. Google is betting that the 1.6 million apps available on the Android Market will convince corporate clients that there are many developers willing to develop business-centric applications.

Remix OS might address the shortcomings of the stock Android OS 6.0 used in the Pixel C. Due to the touchscreen first focus of Google, the stock Android OS remains limited to mobile devices for content consumption, not on content creation. Remix OS 2.0 now promises that Android OS could also be usable inside traditional productivity-centric laptops and desktop computers

The success of Android on the desktop PC market depends on manufacturers delivering Mac or Windows-like multi-tasking productivity. A YouTube demo already reveals Remix OS 2.0 looks a lot like Windows 10 and it offers true multi-tasking and the same keyboard shortcuts on Android OS.

Unlike the strange-looking UI of Chrome OS computers, Remix OS promises to deliver Android OS laptops that will not alienate business users accustomed to a Windows-like computer.

I insist that Android PC manufacturers will favor Nvidia chips. Even JIDE used the old Tegra 4 SoC to build its hybrid Remix Ultratablet product. This goes to show that JIDE/Remix OS developers trusted Nvidia’s chips to deliver the best Android performance for their first laptop.

Gamers Will Love A Tegra-powered Android PC

My assertion that high-end Android PC manufacturers will likely favor Nvidia’s chips over x86 processors is due to the inherent gaming superiority of Tegra SoCs. The most downloaded and most profitable apps on the Android Play Store are games.

People who want the best gaming experience on an Android PC will make it a top priority to acquire one that has Nvidia’s 192-core Tegra K1 or the 256-core X1.  Chromebook manufacturers might be more amenable to building a Remix OS computer and use a Tegra K1 to immediately get a ready customer base from the hundreds of millions of Android gaming population.

There is a very strong need for large-screen Android gaming. The global-wide popularity of Android emulators like BlueStacks, Genymotion, and Droid4X is clear evidence that people enjoys playing Android games on desktop or laptops. Like it is in phones and tablet, the bigger potential buyers of Android PCs will come from the gaming community.

Conclusion

Nvidia is worth a long-term bet. Remix OS is a great step forward toward making Android OS more viable in the keyboard/mouse environment of desktop PC computing/gaming. The developers of Remix OS already has a great working relationship with Nvidia. Other would-be builders of Android PCs running Remix OS would likely also go with Nvidia chips.

Chrome’s OS PC vendors are mostly using Intel-made processors. However, I am confident that future PC manufacturers will find it more efficient to use Nvidia Tegra chips to create high-end Android computers intended for the business/gaming markets.

My bullish recommendation for NVDA is in line with the positive long-term Buy algorithmic forecasts of I Know First. I Know First utilizes an advanced algorithm based on artificial intelligence and machine learning to predict market performance for over 3,000 markets including stock forecasts, world indices, commodities, interest rates, ETFs, and currencies. The algorithm produces a forecast with a signal and a predictability indicator. The signal is the number in the middle of the box. The predictability is the number at the bottom of the box. At the top, a specific asset is identified. This format is consistent across all predictions. The middle number is indicative of strength and direction, not a price target. The bottom number, the predictability, signifies a confidence level.

Previously I Know First Predicted NVIDIA Stock Movement. In this stock forecast, We can observe that Nvidia had a very strong signal of 149.51 and a predictability of 0.41 on Nov 16th, 2014 and 1-year later we saw Nvidia’s amazing return of 56.23% and the overall package of Tech stocks perform fantastically bringing 24.49% (Long) and 15.29% (short) returns to all investors that invested equally on the top 20 stocks from the 16th of Nov 2014.
